This is a little taste of the Mother's Day pics I took today with the help of my dear friend Amanda!

hello old friend...

Hello old friend. I came to visit you again. No pressure. Maybe just tonight. Or maybe tomorrow night too. I can't stay long. I've got four little ones (and a ton of laundry) who are in much greater need of my attention. But, I have thought of you often and wanted to say hello. Maybe I'll see you again this week. Hopefully.

Oh, dear friend, I forgot to mention that my fourth little one arrived seven months ago today. Her name is Catherine. She is one of the most wonderful gifts that I have ever been given. And, she purrs like a cat. Seriously no kidding.

well, sorry God...

Tonight we went for a walk to try to get things going with Catherine. (I am a couple of days late). And, John Stark for some unknown reason blurted out "OH MY GOD!!!" We quickly corrected him by telling him that God doesn't like to be talked about like that. He then yelled out, "Well...sorry God!" Of course we are all laughing already and then JS starts panting and complaining that his heart hurts. (He has a cramp from running). Vaiden assures me that the pain is "lower" than his heart. JS says, "Not Noah's heart! My heart hurts!"

The other day the boys and I were driving down the road, and JS wants to know where God is. We all tell him that God is everywhere. We can't see Him, but He always sees us. And, we can talk to God anywhere. He then yells out his rolled down window, "God, you hear me! I love you! I love you God! You love me!"

As I am anxiously (and uncomfortably) waiting the arrival of my first baby girl, I guess I needed a reminder of how blessed I am to have my three boys... dear Vaiden, candid Caleb, and adoring John Stark. The weather is cooler here so I have the back door open and can hear my three boys laughter as they play together in the back yard. I am struck by how wonderful it is to have three little men to raise...three little men who love me. And, then immediately after, I walk into the living room to see the above picture... a little reminder of all that I would be missing out on if I didn't have these precious boys.

hello again

Just a little over three more weeks, and these beloved little men will have be welcoming there new sister Ava Catherine Logan into the world. She will be called Catherine after my dear grandmother Catherine Grandstaff Wyman who went to be with the Lord this past February and after Skip's mother Mary Katherine Logan who also is with Jesus now.

So last night we found John Stark in his shoes once again. WELL tonight Skip put him down, and when I went in to check on him around 8:20, I found this:

And the only thing John Stark had to say for himself was "pretty Mommy??!" He had on Vaiden and Caleb's shiny red exercise shorts as a tube top??? I'm always astounded by that boy.
